How do I get rid of squirrels on my porch?

I live on a second floor apt. and have a squirrel that gets up there and causes a mess in my flower pots and garbage can and eats my bird seed. How can I get rid of him?

Reply:Yo will need to one of those bird feeders that spin around when a squirrel weight is on it. This makes the food you have out, less desirable and will discourage them after a while. As long as there is food available, they will come to it

Reply:I had the same problem with squirrels making a mess in the flower pots so I went to the dollar store and got some kiddie pinwheels and put them in the pots with the plants and the movement keeps the squirrels away
