My girlfriend's mother got us a pot with some really nice stargazer lilies. Within the course of about two or three weeks, all the pods bloomed, most of the flowers fell off, and no pods seem to be growing in their place. Furthermore, the leaves are turning brown and falling off.
I think I may have overwatered them. Is this normal for these types of flowers? What could I do to save them?
How frequently do stargazer lilies flower?
You can plant them in your yard. You generally get a few weeks of flowers from each bulb and then they just soak up the sun and store energy for the next season. They generallty bloom in late summer.
Reply:They bloom once a year. Plant them outside for next year.
