I need to sell my home and want to bury a statute of St. Joseph. Only, the ground is frozen. What can I do ?

It's the middle of January in the Northeast and I cannot dig a hole in the ground. Will it be okay if I put some soil in a flower pot and put it in the yard? Any one have any insight on this?

Try boiling a big pot of water and pore over the frozen area you wish to dig. Be sure and pore is really slow so that it doesn't spread over a big area. Dig for a bit -- then boil some more water in pore in the spot really slow. Try digging as you pore.



It's the only thing I can think of. I think if you just use some potting soil on a spot it will easy wash off when you get a big rain and the St. Jude will be left.

After thought, you might want to put the wet dirt on something where the water will strain out before recovering the St. Jude. That way the dirt you cover the St. Jude with isn't so filled with water that will later freeze.
Reply:k=The only insight I have on this is that it's really stupid. How can a knick-knack, buried upside down do any good for anyone? If you want your house to sell, pray instead...to God. His will be done, no matter who or what you bury in your frozen ground or a flower pot! Superstition is not a part of Christianity.
Reply:That's a neat story I've been in the business since the early 70's and I've seen some real strange things that people truly believe in when it comes to helping them sell their house. I wonder if any of them figured out that it was my agents who sold it hmmmm I am still refusing to bury my agents when they take a listing and prior to any sale.

Reply:Maybe instead of burying a statue you could do some painting or remodeling or tidying up to make your house sell faster. I don't mean to be unkind but there are factors you can control when selling a house. Is the carpet worn and shabby? Are the bedrooms painted weird colors that will put people off? Is the house cluttered? (mustt of us are gulity of this one) If you are focusing on burying a statue in the yard it suggests you look upon the whole transaction as some mystical thing.
