We are about to open the new playground in our community, and would like to put some potted plants (preferably flowering) in the picnic table area. Are there any that require no care (since there won't be anyone to water them regularly, so they will just depend on the weather). We are in Zone 6. They can be small (for tabletop) or large (for a larger pot next to the tables). Thanks for your help.
Any potted outdoor plants that require NO care?
Portulaca is the best for flowering but needs some sun. Other than that succulents work great in a no-care garden or pots.
Reply:The only flowers or plants that will require no care will be artificial. All others will require some type of care.
Reply:You could try rhodo's but if you are keeping them in pots on the picnic table or beside them and no one is watching them then i would use artifical as you would be very trusting to spend a lot of money on real ones that someone could easily come by and steal them.
Reply:The only plants that require NO CARE are plastic ones. Unfortunately, someone will have to be available for watering and some maintenance.
