Does my cat have urinal problems?

Lately my cat has been really miaowing to go outside, we always let hime out. When we have been pottering around the garden, he usually does too. But, he tends to wee or try to wee everywhere and anywhere. He was seen to day in a neighbour's skip, our flower pot, the middle of the lawn. I am thinking he might have a touch of cystitus?

Does my cat have urinal problems?
Male cat? seems like he is marking his teretory. Is there a new male cat in town , he may be telling the other cats "stay away"
Reply:It sounds more like territorial marking. This is the time of year. Females are going into heat. Even if he is neutered, you may see some of this behavior just because of instinct. He stills knows what is going on with the ladies. Keeping him inside may help.

If he is not neutered, getting him neutered may help alot.

If you have any concerns that he may have urination problems, you should definitely get him seen by a vet. Urination problems in cats can be very serious.
Reply:If he is straining to urinate you need to get him into your vet ASAP. Male cats can become blocked and unable to urinate quickly and it can turn deadly if not taken care of ASAP
Reply:he is just marking his territory
Reply:i had a cat that got urinary tract infections all the time. i bought food specially designed for the urinary tract and it made a big difference. i had to give it to him all the time, though; if i didn't he would get them again. if you try this and it works, i'd still advice you to go see the vet...my cat died because he got kidney stones. i don't know if there was anything else i could have done to prevent it...i think it was because he already had problems. anyway, just keep up with the care. good luck.
Reply:If he's not neutered, he's marking your yard as his territory and renewing these marks every so often when he goes outside, as is fitting of a tom marking off an area. If he's neutered, he may be developing a medical condition, either a tract infection or diabetes. Diabetic cats ingest a lot of water in an attempt to dilute the sugar in their blood, which in turn makes them urinate a lot.
Reply:Yes... definitely suspicious... must get your kitty seen by the vet as soon as possible. Urinal blockage if not attended to is fatal to cats.
