How old were you the last time that physical pain made you cry? And Why?

Auch! I stubbed my pinky toe very hard against the edge of o table from where a big flower pot crashed over the same foot! This happened one month ago, whith unbelievable excruciating pain. This time I managed not to cry until a sadistic doctor decided to set my bones without ANY anaesthetic, twisting and squeezing my swollen foot for five minutes of pure agony!

The pain was expected and so I was prepared to it and I tried to mantain my composure, so I didn't really cry but I couldn't help the tears from streaming down my cheeks and, at the end, bad sentences addressed to the doctor. I really hated her.

This is the second time in my life that physical pain makes my cry (i think to have a quite high pain tolerance, I had kidney stones many times, I broke my ankle, and dislocated a shoulder in the past without shedding a tear) and both of the time for an accident on my left foot.

I'm 40...

I was the same age I am right now, 21. In November I tore my ac joint in my shoulder while playing basketball.....It was only a few tears though....I tried to hold them back that's why.

Reply:I was 17 and I was hurrying down the steps %26amp; turned my ankle. I tried so hard not to cry, but didn't succeed. I've heard that a sprained ankle hurts more than a broken ankle...
Reply:Apendix, I was 20 Y O
Reply:Just a couple days ago. I am 30. I have a very low toleration of pain. I swear I thought childbirth was going to kill me, and yes, I had drugs. My daughter is so tuff though. She broke her toe a few months back and practically laughed at the doctor when he said he was gonna hurt when he touched it.
Reply:i think i will be experiencing it next week for i'm getting a tattoo. ouch!
Reply:I am 32, and I cried from pain just a few days ago. I have a pinched nerve at the C2 disc, which is at the base of the skull, and pinched nerve at the L5 disc, plus many herniated discs. I am in such chronic pain everyday, all day, but sometimes it is so bad I can't take it anymore. So, I don't know if I cry out of pain, or pure frustration.

I have had gall stones, broke bones, and given birth so I really know what pain is.

I really hope that you turned that doctor in and completed a grievance against her. Not much will come of it, but at least it will be on her record in case she tries that crap again.

Good luck.
