I keep telli ng myself im not crazy....but i think it could be a possibillity now...
Okay I live out in the country and there are spiders (HUGE ONES) everywhere, inside, outside.....
So..I thought to myself...what kills spiders? BIRDS!!
My nut job self went and bought 40 chickens and turkeys. They will be able to turn loose in about a week. (not soon enough!)
One tim when I was feeding them frickin tarantula ran up inside my pant leg and I froze...im first instinct was just to cut my dang leg off...so i took my pants off and ran around like a crazy woman...nearly piss pantsing myself...laugh all you want!!
But I'm so scared of spiders its affecting my everyday life. Yesterday I couldn't carry a flower pot that had been in the barn to the porch because I just knew there'd be a spider somewhere on it so I kicked it all the way to the porch and made my husband do a "spider check" Which he has to do to the bed..my shoes..cabinets..jackets or clothes I haven't worn in a while.
Has anyone ever gotten over arachnophobia? How?
hi, I have a friend who also had an experience with a tarantula as a child,to this day is petrified of spiders.people who have these type of phobeas know they are being irrational and go to great lengths to avoid, that has to be difficult living in the country.there are ways to help yourself-u have to confront the spider and change your thoughts while doing so.start by looking at the spider from a distance, tell yourself u are safe,it will not hurt u.little by little get closer, continue reassuring yourself(perhaps a friend could also be there to help).the process could be slow, dont rush yourself, there has been sucess with this type of treatment-cognitive therapy.good luck ashley.
