Just last week I planted flowers for my grandma.
They are just starting to grow a tiny lil bit.
When I checked on them I noticed tiny, little bitty bugs on top of the soil
Are these bugs going to eat the flowers???
Anything I can use to rid the bugs without killing the flowers??
Or will they be fine with the bugs???
Please help, I really want these flowers to work out for my grandma and I.
Just wondering if they are harmful to the flowers at all.
-I think the flowers are called red corn poppies if Im not mistaken.
Thank you
Bugs in flower pot??
I don't think they will hurt anything, but if you do not want them on there put some cheyenne pepper seeds around them and it will keep bugs away!*
Reply:normal soil is loaded with "tiny, little bitty bugs." chances are, they won't harm the plants at all. If you start to find them on the plant and find evidence of them feeding (little holes or discolored spots), then you could spray them, but i really doubt you'll need to do that.
Reply:I use a small screen when I flower up my planters. It's harder for the bugs to come in from the drainage holes, lighter than using rocks, and has excellent drainage!
