My room has no window, what kind of plant can I get?
Philodendron is very hardy, the leaves are green and white. or you can try ivy. Anything with a flower usually needs sunshine. Philodendrons are easy to take care of, when you feel the dirt and it is dry then you water it. usually once a week.
Reply:Plastic
Reply:Normally tropical smaller plants don't need a whole lot of sunlight...each plant has a tag that'll tell you how much sun it needs.
Reply:Maybe English Ivy, but you might like to get a large poster of a garden, waterfall or forest and put it up on a wall and then put a curtain rod above it with curtains on the rod. That will make it feel more like a window.
Reply:Plastic? Silk? fake?
Reply:philodendron

a mixture of incandescent and flourescent light can manintain these plants for some time They only like indirect light and will yellow if too much sun but if you could occasionally take them to an out doorsy spot near your house(take it for a ride w you?) to get some of that it would be good Or buy aplant lightbulb and follow instructions for that one
Reply:You can buy a snake plant. It requires no or little light.
Reply:cactus
Reply:MUSHROOM hahahaha
Reply:You might bring a plant into this room for a short time and then move it back to a lit location. You could also use growlights
Reply:Try silk plants. There are many that look pretty real. If you must have a real one, with minimal light, the most shade-tolerant house plant is probably a Sansevieria (common name, Mother-in-law's tongue). Also called a Snake plant. They thrive on neglect; in fact, if you give them sun and regular watering, they will not do well. They grow slowly, so you might want to get a medium-sized one. Type in low-light house plants on your search engine, and it should list this and others, including the Peace Lily. But any plant needs some light, and should be placed near a lamp if no window is available.
Reply:You might try talking with your landlord or parents about the windowless situation. All rooms intended for habitation require at least one window per the uniform building code. Bring the room up to code and you can have whatever plant you want.
Reply:Try the home depot. They have plenty of indoor plants that don't need sunlight.
Reply:An aloe plant, it need no sunlight and barely any water. It is also a healer. If you have a cut or any abrasion, it will heal it. All you do is cut off a small portion of the plant and squeeze the liquid out and you will heal. I had a very deep cut on my hand and it healed it in a matter of two days.

Definetley and Aloe Plant, they are cheap and easy to maintain
Reply:African violet! They are pretty, and don't require much care at all!
Reply:A lemon lime plant works really good. I have one and it rarely needs water and if it is in the sun at all, the leaves burn. I have had this plant for over a year and it is thriving quite nicely. It doesn't ever get flowers, but with the leaves colors of lemon and lime peel, it is attractive to have on a table or entertainment center.
Reply:any kind just put a light over it ok?
Reply:Peace Lillies (sometimes also called closet plants) tend to like shady areas. Maybe give that a try..
Reply:if u cnt get a small green plant then get a small red plant

do u live in a closet? y r there no windows??
Reply:Get a grow light, and then you can probably have any (legal) type of green plant you want. :-)
Reply:ferns like shade
Reply:Obvious answer is plastic but check out Low Light Plants Grow Well Indoors by Norman Winter. You could also get a fish tank with a light and plants.
Reply:peace lillies love shade, they also love water
