Please tell me what it is for?

i have a flower pot which i love it reminds me of winnie the pooh's honey pot has holes and is so adorable i just remodled my house with new siding ext... ext .....i painted the pot the color of my new shutters, but what is this pot used for? i have ivy all over my pool deck which i love, and dont want in this awsome pot. my husband saYS strawberries but i have them already growing any suggestions??? i really love this pot and want it to look pretty !!!

If it is a terra cotta "strawberry pot", which it sounds like, often times "hens and chicks" succulent plants are planted in them. "Hens and chicks need little soil to grow, which is one reason they like these kinds of pots.

Reply:Long stemmed Tulip flowers is the answer. It will look pretty in a big flower pot.
Reply:It is a "hens %26amp; Chicks" planter. Go to your local nursery %26amp; ask for hens %26amp; chicks. They are little desert plants(like sandy soil) and you plant one in each hole %26amp; it has little ones that grows off it. They are great!!!! And easy to grow to.
Reply:He is right, but there are many other plants you can plant in there. A plant called chicken and hens, Herbs and flowers. On HGTV, there is a gardening show starring Paul James, I think it is called the gardener guy, anyway he did a show on that type of pot and showed several ways you can plant in it. Search HGTV and I think search for strawberry pot.
