What can I make out of a cup?

For art we have to make something using a styrofoam cup. It has to be useful, and not to complicated. Any suggestions are helpful. PLEASE dont tell me to amke a flower pot or a megaphone, we cant do those.

play with heat, try putting the Styrofoam cup in hot water or in the microwave and wait for it to melt, the new melted shape may inspire you. from a scientific point of view you could say that Styrofoam cups are able to hold more liquid because of the little pockets of air that are formed between the foam, thus increasing the total volume of space.-blurey
Reply:Get a few ink pens fron the dollar store. one pack.

Go home and pime the pens. That means scribble until the ink begins to flow.. Put the cap back on....

Buy dark or green tape. One handfull of the flowwers you like.

Your going to cut them into pieces to tape a flower on top of each pen..............You can choose any cluster of flowers you like for 1 dollar.

Did you look for lager styrofoam cups. for this 4 big ones is better than 20 little ones.... Did you see the river stones they are 1 dollar for a whole bag... that would do .. Unless you already have marbles or rice at home.......

When you are using dark tape to wrap the flower to the pen go half way down the pen with the with the tape.

When finished polk the flowers into the cup filled with a weight of rice or marbles . If the cup begins to tip you have too many flowers.
Reply:Flip it over, push your pencils into the bottom and make it a pencil holder.



Or fill it with sand, stick some plastic flowers in it and make it a paper weight.



You could also poke one hole in the bottom and make it a funnel.



A styrofoam cup is so flimsy. You're really going to have to use your imagination with that one. Good luck!
Reply:Well you can take string and put one strand on the top and take alot of other little ones and put them on the top.. then take the strands from the top and connect them to forks, spoons, anything you can think of. and than hang it up from the one sting on the bottom ^-^. and then you got your self a windchime ^_^

and you can color it in the begining if you want.
