What is the strangest thing your cat or dog does?

My cat likes to sleep outside on flower boxes and pots, and he sleeps on garden, even on the flowers.He dosent care, if it looks like a nice place to sit, he just sits down.

My other cat demands to sleep under the covers with me, he meows and meows untill I let him under and then he pops his head out and uses the pillow like me. Its really strange.

What is the strangest thing your cat or dog does?
When I spray prefume or febreze or any scented spray, my dog will sniff it on the floor for about 2 seconds, and then he will drop down on his face and rub all over the carpet with his butt sticking straight in the air.

It's so wierd and I don't know why he does it, but it sure as heck is funny.

Reply:I had a cat that took baths with me he just jumped right in I though he was a little off in the head.
Reply:My cat will randomly knock over glasses of water. No matter where the are. He has knocked them over on my head and got me soaked. We also have this mini water conatiner for him that u only have to replace when the jug ontop is empty. He will chase it around the kitchen until it falls. lol he is a crazy cat
Reply:my cat would get really mad if we smoked pot without her, or forgot to blow it in her face, she'd go around the circle to each person and we had to forewarn them to do it, cause she'd give you a nip if you didn't, and move on to the next person.

Reply:i have a cat that plays fetch. he gets the ball, chases it, and brings it back for as long as you keep throwing it. my dogs will just look at me with a dumb look on their face when i throw a ball.
Reply:My cat used to steal pieces of Kentucky Fried Chicken from the bucket when I wasn't looking. I never once caught him doing it but I would find the bones hidden in various out of the way places when I cleaned by apartment.



He also would open doors all the time. If a door was closed, he would hop up and spin the knob, then slip his paw upside down under the crack of the door and pull the door open.



I can't prove it but I often wondered if he was somehow opening the fridge when I wasn't home.
Reply:My dog pushes things around with her nose, and when it moves (like a big box), she gets scared and runs away. She also likes to sleep with her head on a pillow and covered up with sheets, she thinks she's a human. She's a pitbull btw.

Reply:My cat is 16 yrs old and for as long as I can remember has always liked for me to stick my toe in his ear (as far as I can) and wiggle my toe. It feels so good to him that his back leg will start going crazy. It's so funny to watch. All I have to do is tap the floor with my foot and he come's running for his favorite "toe scratch". lol

Reply:That's cute, your cat sleeping with you. My cat jumps as high up on the doorframe as she can, holds tight and slides down it, like a fireman or something.
Reply:I had a cat named Shadow, who had a wicker king chair with an over-stuffed cushion that was "his." If anyone made the mistake of sitting in it, he would take up a position in front of the chair and glare at them until they moved. He would then jump up into the chair and stair at them again until he knew they were watching, and purposely turned his back to them and laid down to pout.
Reply:Whenever my dog farts, she turns around and looks at her butt like she's surprised, and then she looks at whoever is around with her ears up like she's saying, "Hey, what was that?"

Reply:Have have two cats and one dog. When my cats look out the window and sees a bird, one of them makes a weird meowing sound and chatters his teeth, its really funny. My other cat is the cuddle bug and when I'm laying down he will head butt my side like he wants to lay under me. For a pretty small cat, he has a strong head! My dog on the other hand can sit pretty. Where he sits up kind of like a bunny on his hind legs and just sits there for a long time, mostly its because he is begging but no one ever taught him how to do that!

Reply:OK that's way to CUTE !! Well my cat Meowser, watches TV with me and watches me use to computer. He will watch a whole 2 hour movie with me . He sits on the back of the couch kind of on top of my shoulders. Its funny but i love it. My other cat Whiskers is very strange hes in love with Meowser and trys to "BE" with him.... Meowser isn't bothered by it... both of my cats are very strange and thats what i like about them.

Reply:My dog licks my other dog's eyes, becuz my other dog has a eye infection that has puss! It's really disgusting to see him lick his eyes!

During hot summers, my english bulldog LOVES the air conditioner. He always block the cool air coming out cuz he lays on the vent .. after the A/C stops, he goes back to sleep. At times, I touched his tummy, whoo, it's cold! :) My dog is also VERY good with paws. If a ball gets stuck behind a chair that would seem impossible for any dog to get it, my dog actually analyzes at the ball, thinking what he should do next, bam, he's using his paws just to get the ball out of the small area. He's successful most of the time!



I'm telling you, my cat %26amp; dog behaves JUST like Tom %26amp; Jerry cartoon show. You know the grey bulldog in that show? My dog is just like him, always chasing our cat all over the house, it is so hiliarous and gives me alot of laughter which I am thankful for!

He LOVES ice cream, cream cheese, and chips/crackers. He loves to lay on top of papers/books. He is obsessed with shoes, especially those belonging to strangers - (whenever a new person comes over to the house, he will smell and lick their shoes). He makes a weird chattering noise at birds (I'm surprised to hear that someone else's cat does this!). Whenever I come home from work, he runs to the front door and rolls over onto his back - he will squirm around like a fish out of water until I acknowledge him. He tries to lick my neck on a regular basis. Those are just some of the things...
Reply:I was looking around to see if anybody elses cats do this when I found this thread. If I start whistling in my apartment, regardless where the cats are or what they're doing (eating, sleeping, etc.) they will almost immediately hunt each other and get into a big fight. Both seem really confused while they're doing it, and they don't get aggressive toward me. When I stop, so do they.



I'm thinking that they shrill noise causes hormone release related to the protection of kittens. Maybe this is not a proper answer though, because my cats are male and female, and I can tell that both are stimulated to fight. Any alternative explainations might be interesting.
