So i took it and i put it in a flower pot with a cm or2 of water in it and 2 twigs a couple leafs and 2 small rocks. it usually hangs out on the side of the pot or twig.
But what do they eat?
Is this a good habitat?
How do i raise my pet snail?
yOU SHOULD FEED IT CABBAGE OR LETTUCE THEY LOVE IT BUT RIP THE PIECES UP BEFORE YOU DO THIS.... IT i a good habbitat as it has nutrients given of by the plnt.... i would put plenty of water in and some leaves such as carrot and cabbage...good luck...dont feed it salt
feed me with a best answer and i keep on going
Reply:...put it back where you found it. If it was their, that's where it wanted to be and was eating... Enjoy nature where it is and don't interfere...
Reply:Snails like leafy vegetables. Throw some lettuce in and it'll eat. Also, keep it moist, but snails can drown, so no standing water.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR NEW PET.
Reply:i luv snails i think they are sooo small, when my baby cousins try squdgin them i always stop them i do not no how to look after snails, try lookin it up on the internet or go to the library
Reply:Snails need very moist habitats. Some kinds of snails even live in the water. If the snail was by your pond it probably needs either boggy or wet conditions.
Reply:Sounds like it's moving around on it's own, so at the end of the summer you should enroll it in pre-school. During the summer why not sign it up for camp? Snails love the outdoors.
Think about the kind of home you keep and what you can do to make your home a good moral model for a snail to grow up in. If you're a person of faith, take the snail to services on Sunday (or Friday night or Saturday if you're Jewish). If keeping kosher is an issue, teach the snail which plates he can slime on and which to leave alone.
Good luck!
Reply:Do NOT feed him salt.
Reply:They do like some type of salt sprinkled on them so try that
Reply:Absolutely DO NOT GIVE IT SALT IT BURNS ITS SKIN, i got tricked once and put salt on it and it burned.:(
Reply:Find him some friends and put him in a beef broth, with onions and some veggies.........
Reply:Yes give him some salt. Snails love it!
Reply:What does it look like? Most snails eat vegetables which is why they are considered garden pests.
Here's a link with some pictures to help you identify what kind of snail you have. After you know that, then you can better figure out the best habitat for it. Sounds like you're doing just fine for the short term.
