What are the Perfect flowers for a Window Ledge,?

My window ledge looks lonely, what potted flowers look the best and are best suited for the window ledge, flowers that don't die too easily,

petunias.... the type you'd by for a hanging basket, they give a lovely draped effect

Reply:Petunias look great in window boxes, and are fairly easy to look after. Like any plants in pots they must be watered regularly especially when the weather gets hot.
Reply:African Violets are wonderful window plants, they come in many varieties and colors....I have 4 that sit on the window ledge in my kitchen that faces north....Ivy's also work real well, they like a lot of light but not direct sun and they too are low maintenance, when at your garden center check out the Swiss Cheese Ivy...it is really neat and not a lot of people have them.
Reply:Geraniums, trailing ones look great after they have grown a bit, lots brightly colored pansies and some ivy mixed in.
