But for some aggravating reason, this spring the squirrels have started digging up and destroying my plants. I love animals, but this is really trying my nerves!!! }:o(

Will moth balls harm plants?
I have tried using moth balls to keep away pests such as squirrels and moles. I've had some success and did not find them to cause any harm to my plants. Be cautious using anywhere near pets and children though because mothballs are VERY toxic to them.
Reply:I have almost given hope of my tomatoe plants ever surviving the squirrels appetites. I now have moth balls scattered around the outside premieter of the garden and I now have hopes of getting to eat my own tomatoes. Just be sure pets and small children do not come in contact with them. Report It

Reply:I don't know about mothballs, I would be afraid of poisoning my plants. They say if you sprinkle blood meal around your plants, the squirrels won't go near them, they hate the smell.
