What should I do about an annoying sprinkler at night?

Here's the thing...at around 1:50 AM until 2:30 AM my apartment complex's sprinkler system comes on. There is one that is located so close to my window that everytime it rotates towards it the sprinkler water tears against the metal screen, which makes it sounds like a violent storm is going on outside. I'm a schoolteacher, which makes sleep very precious to me, and I'm hardly getting any because of this. Yes, I've tried calling the manager about it, but no answers. So, I've decided to take matters into my own hands (I'm in this lease for a year, so I'm not leaving!). I'm thinking about placing a small bucket or flower pot on top of it with a brick. Do you think that would pose as a problem? Any other {serious} suggestions? I would appreciate them a lot. Thanks!

nou can get the building in trouble by reporting to the authorities if they are ignoring watering bans.

you could have them change the sprinkler head to something less offensive, or you could wait outside until it goes on and whe it pops up, turn it yourself away from your window.

THE SPRINKLER HEAD HAS A ADJUSTMENT LEVER OR SCREW DEPENDING ON THE TYPE, THAT TAKES A VERY SMALL ADJUSTMENT TO CORRECT

Reply:if they dont take care of your problem then you have to do somthing about it. id just leave the bucket on it all the time until they do somthing about it. you wont get in trouble. why? because you tried to have them do somthing about it.

I would do the same as you, but with one exception: I would take it upon myself to adjust the sprinkle head so that it no longer strikes the building.

This is the company that is a major manufacturer of sprinkler systems.

They have complete instructions regarding adjusting the sprinkler heads.



I would also think that another teacher might have a similar system at their home [and know how to accomplish the task]
