Once your plants have begun to grow in the pots, you can suppliment with a high phosphorous fertilizer to push the plants into flower. If a soil with a slow release fertilizer is used, you can suppliment if you have active growing plants. Cut the dose to 1/4 th the recommended dose, and use once every 2 to 3 weeks.

It is absolutely foolproof to use Miracle Gro Potting soil. The nutrients are in the soil and it is fantastic in pots or I mix it into the soil in my beds also. Good luck and enjoy.
Reply:Coffee grounds or egg shells are suppued to be good for plants.
Reply:I agree with the coffee grounds. or you could buy a bag of soil ammending mix or new potting soil and mix it in with the old soil. It should work also. I have done it many times. I use pots and beds.
